Lola Mae Draper Johnson, age 86, of Knoxville, formerly of Greeneville, TN, Charleston, SC, Maryville, TN, Savannah, GA, and Portsmouth, VA, passed away at Park West Medical Center on Sunday, August 12, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Woody (George W.) Johnson, Sr.; her parents: Clarence W. Draper and Effie Bailey Draper; brother: Clarence W. Draper, Jr.
Survivors include by her son: Woody Jr. of Knoxville, TN; niece: Beverly D’Angiolillo of North Carolina; nephew: David Draper of Virginia; special friend: Stacy Jones of Knoxville.
She was a loving a loving mother and wife who gave of herself to her family, friends and to her church. Mostly recently she was a member of West Hills Baptist Church, previously at Smithwood Baptist Church in Knoxville and she devoted many years to her membership at Montvale Baptist Church in Maryville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, Greeneville, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Tammy Greene officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at Shiloh Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday for the committal service.
