Eugene Paul Taylor, age 86, of Parrottsville passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Greeneville Community Hospital East. He is the son of the late Robert John and Leta Fanning Taylor. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his two daughters: Jureta and Timothy Gregg and Marcheta and James Hensley; one son: Robert and Phedra Taylor; grandchildren: Shawn Paul Brooks, Uriah Fletcher, Joshua Fletcher, Thomas “TC” Brooks, Terra Kate Brooks, Victor Gregg, Kimberly Gregg, Tony Gregg, Rebecca Gregg, Jeffrey Gregg, David “DJ” Gregg, Gavin Hopkins, Keri Bales, Eden and Jax Washburn; he also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren; sister: Naomi Copeland; brother: Marvin and Louise Taylor; sister in law Betty Taylor; brother in law Louie Keller; special friends: Brenda, Unilee, Denise, Jackie, June, and Amy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Alice Taylor; grandson: David Fletcher; great granddaughter: Sierra Brooks; daughter-in-law: Melody Miller; sisters: Leula Buckner, Ruth Keller, Marlene Waddell, and Mary Jo Wicker; brothers: MinnisTaylor and Howard Taylor; sister in law: Ella Jean and Walter Jennings; brother in law: Earl and Wilda Swatzell.
The Taylor family will receive friends from 3:00 – 6:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home prior to services at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Long and Rev. Randy Masters will be officiating. Interment will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Pleasant Hill U.M.C. Cemetery. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Taylors family and friends.
