Jureta B. Gregg of Greeneville passed away Thursday evening after a long battle with cancer.
She was a daughter of the late Mary Alice Taylor and Eugene Paul Taylor, who died Thursday morning. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Sierra Marie Brooks; father-in-law: Rex Allen Gregg.
Survivors include her husband of over 30 years: Timothy A. Gregg; children: Thomas C. (Charylene) Brooks, Terra Kate Brooks, Victor, Jeffrey, Tony, David J. and Rebecca Gregg all of Greeneville, Shawn P. (Andrea) Brooks of Washington state, and Kimberly V. Gregg of Newport; grandchildren: Katelyn Leanne, Anakin Lyle and Aaron Gauge Brooks all of Greeneville, Breanna Walthers, Gabriel and Makayla Brooks of Washington; one sister: Marcheta (James) Hensley of Mosheim; one brother: Robert (Phedra) Taylor of South Carolina; mother-in-law: Norma Jean Gregg Wines of Parrottsville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Randall Frisbee officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Browns Chapel Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday for the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
