Peggy Carrier Crum, age 84, of Greeneville died Friday, June 21, 2019 at her home. She was a member of Trinity U.M. Church and The Crusaders Sunday School Class. She enjoyed her profession as a waitress for many years. She was a member of the Roby Adult Center and enjoyed many Bingo games there. Survivors include one son: Douglas and Diana Crum of Atlanta, GA; two daughters: Deborah Whitson and Jennifer Crum and fiance' Geoff Davis; grandchildren: Crystal Sullivan, Lindsay Whitson, Dereck Whitson, Dustin Gilliam, Nolan Gilliam, and Presley Gilliam; several great grandchildren; two brothers: Harry and Sharon Carrier and Larry Carrier; several nieces and nephews; a close and dear friend: Anna Mae Love. Mrs. Crum is preceded in death by her husband: Leighton Blaine Crum; parents: Eugene and Dorothy Jones Carrier; one sister: Betty Mayes; three brothers: William, Bobby, and Terry Carrier. The Crum family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Jennings will be officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 am to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Daniel Sullivan, Dereck Whitson, Dustin Gilliam, Nolan Gilliam, Presley Gilliam, Ayden Thompson, and Ben Weems. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Wade Gilliam, members of The Crusaders Sunday School Class and Caris Hospice and Staff.
