Phyllis Sluder of Tusculum passed away Wednesday morning at Johnson City Medical Center.
She was self-employed and a member of Reformation Lutheran Church. She was active in her church as long as her health permitted; was a past President of the American Business Women and had been voted Woman of the Year.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Charles Sluder; one brother and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Pam Napoleon of Limestone; sister-in-law: Shelby Sluder of Parrottsville; one nephew and his family: Christopher, Melissa, and Andrew Napoleon; one niece and her family: Shelia and Robert Wolford, Rebecca and Travis Parrott, and Olivia Wolford.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Rena Napoleon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Charlotte and James Walker.
The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reformation Lutheran Church. Pastor Jim Dumond will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Larry Byrd, Kelsey Shelton, Bo Holt, Bill Holland, Steve Whittenburg, and Steve Fields.
