Ann Crum

April 9, 1929 - May 4, 2022

Ann Crum, age 93, of the Houston Valley Community, passed away Wednesday morning at her home. Ann was a native of Midway, a daughter of the late Anderson and Vina Smelcer. Ann retired from Magnavox. She was a member of Victory Church of God, where she and her husband attended as long as their health permitted. They loved their Pastor and church family. Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ronald and Cheri Crum, Kathy Cobble, Doug and Debbie Crum, Darvin and Patricia Crum; grandchildren and their spouses: Amy and Jackie Tweed, Katie and Trevor Southerland, Heather Crum, Lauren and Larry Collins, Amanda Stills, and James Crum; great-grandchildren: Emma Southerland, Lily Southerland, Leah Collins, Dominic Tweed, Ava Clark, Lydia Clark, Malynn Owens, and Hasley Stills; one sister-in-law: Mary Ruth Crum; one brother-in-law: Robert Crum; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Albert Bruce Crum in 2017; one grandson: Travis Gene Crum; son-in-law: Everett Cobble; two brothers: Anderson Smelcer Jr. and Raymond Smelcer. The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Victory Church of God with the Rev. Jim Fillers officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state thirty minutes before the service. Active pallbearers will be Darvin Crum, Doug Crum, James Crum, Josh “Lonzo” Dingus, Jerry Arcadi, and Bugs Price. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Victory Church of God.
