Beatrice “Bea” Tilson, age 86, of the Glenwood Community, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She retired from Laughlin Memorial Hospital with 40 years of service. She was a member of God’s Church. Survivors include two daughters: Julia Carter and fiancé, Greg Robbins, Wilma Manning and husband, Tim; three grandchildren: Ashton Cruey, Jordan Manning, Madison (Steven) Hedrick; special friends: Mary Tweed, Loraine Matthew, Sandra and Anthony Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband: George Tilson in 2011; daughter: Vickie Trentham; son: George Edward Tilson II; parents: Ade and Dessie Cutshaw; brother: Wayne Cutshaw. The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 2 – 5 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Timber Ridge Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday for the committal service. Pallbearers will be Thomas Carter, Ethan Carter, Anthony Carter, Steven Hedrick, Seth Sherrill, Korey Carter, and Chris Trentham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Timber Ridge Cemetery.
