Bobby J. Conner, age 71, of Chuckey, passed away Saturday morning at Johnson City Medical Center. Bobby was a livestock dealer and farmer. He was a member of Greeneville Moose Lodge No. 692. Survivors include his lifelong friend and caregiver: Judy Holt Broyles; one brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Sue Conner; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Vivian and Troy Gammons, and Mitzi and Tommy Gosnell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Regina Gail Conner in 2014; parents: Bruce and Ruby Conner. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dwayne Steele will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 10 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to Doty’s Chapel Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Active pallbearers will be Dale Varney, Logan Holt, Larry Lamons, Donnie Dickerson, Freddie Swatzell, and Larry Huffine.
