Brenda Kathryn Southerland Henry, age 66, of Mohawk, passed away Tuesday at her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Brenda was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Mohawk. Survivors include her husband of 46 years: Terry Henry; one daughter: Crystal Henry and Adam Humbert; two sons and daughters-in-law: Josh “Opie” and Cara Henry, T.J. and Joanie Henry; grandchildren: Ciara Hightower, Cole Henry, Lilly Leanord, Ayden Humbert, Peyton Henry, Trenton Henry, Ava Henry, Olivia Henry, and Dillon Henry; one sister and brother-in-law: Andra and Eddie Kite; niece and husband: Valerie and Ricky Garber; one great-niece and husband; one great-nephew; one great-great-nephew; sister-in-law: Darlene and Buster Denton and sons; several special aunts, uncles, and cousins; a very special cousin: Sandra McAmis; special friends: Hal and Linda Wisecarver and family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Arville and Shelby Southerland; infant sister: Carlene; and her grandparents. The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Hospice nurses: Shelly Knight and Kathy Duncan. The family will receive friends at Fairview Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:30 – 3 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Kevin Wisecarver and the Rev. Jay Mosser will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Wisecarver, Maddox Garber, Eddie Kite, Jeff Lawson, Tommy Lawson, and Jason Boyd.
