Calvin Wayne Holt

Calvin Wayne Holt, age 75, of Greeneville died Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Community Living Center in Mountain Home. Mr. Holt was a veteran of the Navy and served during Vietnam on the U.S.S. Walke. He retired from Hurd Corporation of Greeneville, having previously served as president of the Hurd Credit Union and the Local 791. Mr. Holt attended House of the Lord Church while his health permitted and was also a member of Wanda and the Gospel Sounds for several years. Mr. Holt also taught Industrial Electricity at the Greeneville-Greene County Vocational School for 10 years. Mr. Holt is survived by his wife of 10 years: Brenda Bullington Hensley Holt; daughter: Amanda Holt; son: Shannon and Birdie Mae Holt; stepdaughter: Penny and Jimmy Johnson; stepson: Stephen Hensley. grandchildren: Austen and Brittany Holt, Dustin Holt, Leanna Holt, Branddon Johnson, and Caden Hensley; great grandchildren: Jessie Holt, Wyatt Holt, and expecting Waylon Holt; special nephews: Bobby and Jennifer Holt, Freddy and Leann Holt, and Michael and Tonya Barham; special cousins: David Knight and Joe Smith; special friends: Ed Sneed, Debbie Vigiano, Autry Black, Janice Crawford, J.D. Lowe, Lynn Mercer, Dennis Johnson, and the mother of his children, Diane Holt. Mr. Holt is preceded in death by his parents: Arvel and Maurine Holt; and a brother and his spouse: Earl Jackie and Dean Holt. The Holt family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm Friday, April 8, 2022 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. Lynn Mercer and Rev. Jimmy White will be officiating. Interment will follow at River Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Shannon Holt, Dustin Holt, Austen Holt, Bobby Holt, Freddy Holt, Lee Buchanan, Michael Barham, and Ed Sneed.
