Clarice Hope Whittaker

Clarice Hope Whittaker, age 89, of Greeneville, passed away late Saturday evening at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was a retired customer service representative from Sprint Telephone and attended Faith Temple Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Tom Foreman; three grandchildren: Kevin Foreman, Jaret Foreman, Melanie and Adam Parton; two great-grandchildren: Garrett Morgan and Emerson Parton; one sister: Jean Seaton; brother-in-law: Earl Howe; several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Stanton Whittaker in 2017; parents: Glenn and Nina Beals Hope of Afton; siblings and spouses: Asilee and James Casteel, Louise and Paul Booker, Robert “Bob” Hope, and Marlene Howe; a brother-in-law: Donald Seaton. At the request of Mrs. Whittaker there will be no formal visitation. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Adam Parton, Brian Hixon, Wade Clark, John Tullock, Michael Schofield, and Kevin Foreman. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice. Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
