Dave "Demon" Moorman

October 23, 1962 - February 11, 2022

Dave “Demon” Moorman, age 59, died Friday, February 11, 2022 after an automobile accident. He was a member of Brown Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Moorman started working at the age of 12 and went on into towing, starting his own towing service, Demon’s Towing. He joined Iron Riders Motorcycle Club in March of 1983. He later moved to Tennessee in 1990 bringing the Iron Riders Chapter with him. In his time of being in the Iron Riders he helped with numerous charities in Greene County. Mr. Moorman is survived by his fiance’: Regina “Wild Cat” Harless; three children: Chrissy Harvey, David Moorman III, and C.W. Moorman; 13 grandchildren: Hunter Valentine, Harley Valentine, Heavannah Moorman, Lee’Ann Broilett, Dreven Moorman, Brenden Moorman, Kayson Isham, Robert Moorman, Gabriella Combs, Jaida Moorman, Chelsea Moorman, and Myles Moorman; one sister: Linda and Richard Riley; two brothers: Patrick “Tree” and Lorrie Flannery and Tony “Fireman” and Jessica Moorman; a special nephew: Sam “Hawk” Moorman; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Jim “Bones” and Mary Lowe, Julie Moorman, Lynn Hope, and Darius, Rose Peedin, Harold and Donna Jones, and Anthony Anastasi. Mr. Moorman is preceded in death by his father: David Moorman Sr.; his mother and step-father: Linda and Charles Dotson; a granddaughter: Faith Moorman; two brothers: Samuel “Warrior” Moorman and Leroy Moorman; a nephew: Christopher “Kid” Moorman. Funeral services for Mr. Moorman will be 11:00 am Saturday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Long will be officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: David Moorman III, C.W. Moorman, Steven “Biggen” Wines, Sam “Hawk” Moorman, Tony “Fireman” Moorman, Warren “Boss” Homberg, Sean “Razor” Rodrigues, and Richard Riley. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of the Iron Riders Motorcycle Club, Robert Moorman, and SFC Robert Charles Moorman. The Moorman family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
