Doras Ann Ayers

Doras Ann Hurst Ayers, age 92, of Mosheim, passed away Tuesday morning at Signature Health Care Center. She retired from Magnavox and was a member of Harmon’s Valley United Methodist Church. Survivors include special friends: Blanche Webb, Jerry and Glenda Ayers, Freddie Strong, Bobby and Luela Freshour, Sonja Craig and Gage, Oneita Jones, Scottie and Vanda Scott, Rev. Charles and Tina Lindy, J.D. Couch, Ronnie and Pat Crum, Roger, Becky, and Regina Miller and all the nurses and staff of Signature Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Kenneth Ayers in 1997. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Charles Lindy officiating. Interment will follow in Harmon’s Valley Cemetery. The men of Harmon’s Valley UM Church will serve as pallbearers.Read Obituary
