Elaine Ann Ball, age 66, of Greeneville, passed away Monday evening at her home. She was retired from Food City #608, where she worked in Human Relations for over 40 years. She loved basket and chair weaving, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and canning from her garden. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years: Rickey L. Ball of Greeneville; one daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Jason Whitson of Chuckey; one sister and brother-in-law: Jeanette and Ed GeFellers of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald and Inez Humphreys of Greeneville and Eugene Humphreys of Puyallup, WA; several nieces and nephews; many beloved friends, neighbors, and former coworkers. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Stephanie Ball; parents: Demas and Etta Humphreys; two sisters: Lois Woods and Novella Foreman; one brother: Wayne Humphreys. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Willis Bowers officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 10 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service. Pallbearers will be Chad Cannon, Bryan Cannon, Richard Humphreys, Arel Ball, Ray Ball, and Anthony Ball.
