“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Everett Cobble, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 71 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Everett was born on August 20, 1950 in Greeneville, TN. He attended Debusk Elementary School and South Greene High School where he graduated in 1968. On August 19, 1972 he married the love of his life Kathy (Crum) Cobble. Together they raised two daughters, Amy and Katie. Everett with the help of his brother Danny opened their family business in 1984, Everett’s Used Cars. They have sold cars together until the present. Everett had a passion for being outdoors and for tinkering with his classic cars. He loved sitting on his porch and mowing his lawn. He loved spending time with his family and he was known for his infectious smile and laugh. He was loved by many and gave that love back in return. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JI and Lizzie Kate Cobble, Lonnie and Maude Crum, his father, Wallace Cobble, and his mother, Naomi Cobble. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Cobble; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy Tweed (Jackie) and Katie Southerland (Trevor); three special grandchildren, Emma Southerland, Lily Southerland, and Dominic Tweed; two brothers, Danny Cobble and Bryan Cobble; mother-in-law, Ann Crum; special friend, Michelle Smith; and many other special family, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Monday to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 am graveside service. Rev. Jim Fillers and Rev. Willis Bowers will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
