Obituary James Don Moore, age 74 passed away Saturday, June 24th, 2006 at his home. He was retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.Mr. Moore is survived by his wife: Lela Hilton Moore of Greeneville; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Donald Moore of Mosheim and Tim and Cathy Moore of Mosheim; four stepchildren: Patricia and Earl Crowe of North Carolina, Larry and Lisa Hilton of Fall Branch, Danny Hilton of Greenville and Gary Hilton of Georgia; four step grandchildren: Chad Jennings of Greeneville, Jessica Adams of North Carolina, Lindsey Kidd of North Carolina and Brandy Hilton of Greeneville; two step great grandchildren: Danielle and Breanna Hilton of North Carolina; three sisters: Joyce and Donald Weems of the Lost Mountain Community, Sandra Weems of Baileyton and Jenny Lee Moore of the Romeo Community; special friends: Jerry Weems, Wayne Strong, Harry and Rena Shultz, Eddie and Pauletta Rhoton, Tom and Jenny Hubbard, Wendal Broyles, Cathy Laws and Stephanie Webb.Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents: Eula and Verna Moore; his first wife: Margaret Moore; one sister: Nancy Branch.Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 26th, 2006 at the Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Doug Jennings will be officiating.Pallbearers will include: Hadley Carter, Richard Goodman, Edmond Carter, Eddie Rhoton, Earl Crowe and Larry Hilton.Honorary pallbearers will include: Dr. Maynard Austin and Staff.The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25th, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
