James D. “Tiny” Swatzell, age 77, passed away Tuesday evening at his home in Greeneville. Survivors include his wife: Ida Cutshall Swatzell; one son: Adam Swatzell of Johnson City; step-daughter: Lisa and Scott Fawbush; step-son: Ronnie and Debra Cutshall; three special grandchildren: Amity Cutshall, Cody Foulks, and Cheyenne Fawbush; and his fur baby: Xena. He was preceded in death by a son: Paul; parents: Boner and Gerotha Swatzell. In accordance with his wishes there will be no visitation or services. The family will have a private burial. I remember Tiny well. I was his Mother’s (Gerotha’s) physician for quite a time, and he always accompanied her to her appointments, and was devoted to her well being. He was a gentle man, and it was a pleasure to work with him. Thomas Beckner, MD
