Joe B. Roberts, age 85, of Chuckey, died Saturday at Johnson City Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents: Jay and Della Roberts; wife: Edith Roberts; son-in-law: Danny Pitt; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Joleta and Jeff McPeck of Telford and Tammy Pitt of Afton; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. At his request there will be no visitation or service. Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
