Johnny Starnes, age 62, of the Jeroldstown Community, passed away Thursday morning at Johnson City Medical Center. He retired from MC Septic Services and was a member of Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Todd King; one son: Logan Starnes; grandchildren: Luke King, Ava King, and Lane Starnes; siblings: Larry, Roger, and Lori; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Patti Starnes; son: Jon Coulston; parents: Kenneth and Shirley Starnes; brother: David. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation at 7 o’clock in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wade McAmis officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 1 p.m. Monday to go in procession to Bethesda Cemetery for the 2p.m. committal service. Pallbearers will be Dustin Weems, Randy Weems, Tanner Collins, Mark Collins, David Triantas, Chase Murray, and Les “Weasel” Weems. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda C.P. Cemetery Fund, 825 Earl Baxter Road, Chuckey, TN 37641.Read Obituary
