I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7Johnny Wilson, age 88, of Greeneville, passed away at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Greeneville Community Hospital. He served in the United States Army. Johnny retired from Greeneville Light & Power System. He was a member of Hill Street Church of God. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include children: Vickie Ilene Fletcher, Cynthia Bledsoe, Barbara and Terry Johnson, Randy and Debbie Baxley, Terri Silvers, Carolyn and Keith Starnes; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Buddy and Nancy Wilson. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife: Louise Wilson; son: Ricky Wilson; parents: Roger and Velva Wilson; one sister: Dot (Jimmy) Hartsell; an infant brother: Charles Wilson; and several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 3 – 6 p.m. on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Brandon Clayton officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 11:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to Mt. Hebron Cemetery for the 12 p.m. committal service. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Fletcher, Orgal Miller, Charles Crum, Boyd Fox, Bill Bradley, Ronnie Felton, and Jerry Wills.
