Lynda Jenkins Ramsey

January 29, 1945 - February 26, 2022

Lynda Jenkins Ramsey, age 77, of Mosheim, died Saturday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Ramsey was the retired co-owner/operator of L&R Ramsey Trucking and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. “Floss” enjoyed sewing yo-yos to make quilts and gardening – the best green beans around. She loved trucking with her husband, Reece. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mitzy and Terry Reed; one son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Carla Ramsey; grandchildren, Ashley and Adrian Sauceman, T.J. and Lindsey Reed, Lourinda Anderson, Dalton Ramsey and Taylor Lamb; two great-grandchildren, Allie Sauceman and Grayson Reed; three sisters: Doris Potter, Lois Bowman, and JoAnn Glass; brother-in-law: Mike Ramsey and Vinnie; several nieces and nephews; special cousin: Barbara Webb; two aunts: Lonella Williams and Judy McDonald; one uncle: Charlie Overton; and her special friends at Yoder’s Market. “Floss” was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Reece Ramsey on October 31, 2021; an infant son: Brian Keith Ramsey; her parents: Kenneth and Patsy Jenkins; one sister and five brothers-in-law: Gail and Jimmy Stroud, Dale Bowman, Ivan Potter, Terry Glass, and Marty Ramsey; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Clifford and Carrie Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation at 7 pm in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Richard Long officiating. Entombment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hamblen Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Active pallbearers will be Dalton Ramsey, Adrian Sauceman, T.J. Reed, Braxton Potter, Grayson Potter and Adam Tolliver. Memorial contribution may be made to the Anna Sue Ward Mosheim Central Park; c/o Carla Ramsey, 420 West Hill Drive, Mosheim, TN 37818.
