Martha Hendry Waddell

Martha Hendry Waddell, age 81, of Greeneville, passed away Monday afternoon. She was lovingly known by “Nanny” to her family. She retired from Greeneville Federal Bank and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Rob and Beverly Waddell, Michael and Kay Lynn Waddell; grandchildren: Thomas Waddell, Joanna Waddell, Zoe Waddell, Tyler Finocchio, and Jackson Slater; two sisters: Glenda Doty and Edwina Catron; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Robert Waddell Sr. in 2018; parents: William E. Hendry and Fannie Hendry; brother: Clifford Hendry. The family will receive friends at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 12 – 2 p.m. on Thursday. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Karl Berndt will officiate.
