Obituary Max "Roger" Laws Sr., age 69 of Greeneville passed away early Sunday morning, May 7th, 2006 at Takoma Adventist Hospital. He was retired from the Meco Corporation and a charter member of East Greene Free Will Baptist Church.Mr. Laws is survived by his wife of 38 years: Phyllis Laws of Greeneville; two daughters: Deborah Laws Swatzell of Greeneville and Elizabeth Laws of Greeneville; one son and daughter-in-law: Max and Melissa Laws Jr. of Greeneville; one very special granddaughter: Rachel Swatzell of Greeneville; one step granddaughter: Mitea Kirkpatrick of Greeneville; one brother: William "Bill" Laws of Greeneville; two nephews of which he helped raise: Mark Laws and Johnny Cottle both of Greeneville; several other nieces and nephews; two very special friends: Amber Newton and Wesley Newton both of Greeneville.Mr. Laws is preceded in death by his parents: Clinton and Catherine Laws; one sister: Betty Cottle; two brothers: Joe Ricker and James H. Laws.Funeral services for Mr. Laws will be Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. at the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The Reverends Lynn Neas and Alfred Cutshall will be officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, May 10th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Gethsemane United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home by no later than 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday morning.Pallbearers will include: Mike Taylor, Dennis Tullock, Mike Lamb, Richard Hall, Fred Morris, Kenny Lamb, Joe Johnson and Ray Allen.Honorary Pallbearers will include: men of East Greene Free Will Baptist Church Classes 7 & 8 and friends and neighbors.The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8th, 2006 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00 P.M. and Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
