Ruth Keller
August 28, 1928 - January 24, 2022
Ruth Keller, age 93, of Greeneville, passed away Monday morning. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed sitting around reading her Bible. She was the sweetest humblest person. Ruth retired from Magnavox after 40 years of service. She attended Central Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jack Kelley, Steve Keller and Scarlett Vandiver; one special grandson: Austen Keller and Ashlyn Renner-Laws; two great-granddaughters: Athens and Callie Keller; nephews: Ricky Ball and Randy Alls; nieces: Kathy (Gary) Collins, Gloria (Tom) Kerlin; sister-in-law: Faye Starnes; special friend: Helen Weems. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: Fred Keller in 2019; daughter-in-law: Cindy Keller; mother: Bessie Starnes; sisters: Helen Alls and Betty Jones; brother: Dennis Starnes. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with Pastor Mark Laughlin and the Rev. Brad Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in River Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Vandiver, Tim Jones, Bryan Presley, Doug Ottinger, Mitch Ball, and Gary Collins. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and CNA’s of the Cedar Wing at Life Care Center of Greeneville and Amedisys Hospice.
