William "Bill" Holloway Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William H. “Bill” Holloway, 85, of Greeneville, TN, passed away Saturday morning at his home. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the American Legion. He was a South Carolina residential home builder, owner of Holloway Construction and V&H Insulation both in Greenville, SC. He was a former owner/operator of Pebble Mountain Family Campground in Chuckey, TN. Bill was a member of Forestville Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, and the South Carolina Home Builders Association. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Deborah Dean Holloway; children: Debra Gail (Thomas) Graham, Patricia Ann (Barry) Ellison, Deana Marie (Terry) Trotter, Theresa (Ron) Hayes, Greg Fillers, Jeff Fillers and his adopted son: Eddie (Phyllis) Bittle; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother: James Hampton “Butch” (Patricia) Holloway; his brother-in-law and caregiver: Jerry Harrison; special nephew and niece-in-law: Jeremy and Rebecca Harrison; nephew: Thomas (Yvonne) Richey; niece: Jerri Tanner; and special babies: Bailey Rhea and Bonnie Blue. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Margaret Holloway and Myrtle Pollard; siblings: Annie Ruth Dolce, J.D. Holloway, George Holloway Jr., Eddie Holloway, Peggy Gallenthan, and Bobbie Nell Zachman. Bill received excellent care from Always Caring, the V.A., Avalon Hospice, his loving caregiver: Linda Moro; and his nurses: Tammy Lynn Huffstutler and Shannon Hefner. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The Rev. Shannon Sizemore will officiate and the Greene County Honor Guard will convey military honors. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
